Compact 5-axis in-body image stabilization A newly developed 5-axis in-body image stabilization unit has achieved a substantial size reduction yet maintains an effective 5-step9 stabilization. Camera shake is detected and effectively compensated for in 5 axes: angular shake (pitch/yaw) that has the biggest impact on image quality and tends to increase at longer focal lengths X/Y shift that is most apparent in high magnification macro shots and rotational shake (roll) that can ruin night shots and movies.
