Each of the discs in this set can reach a maximum rotational speed of up to 25000 RPM, more than enough to act as a highly effective cutting tool. These cutting wheels are manufactured with a special blend of abrasives that allows them to avoid discoloration over time, and that helps to prevent overheating when cutting repeatedly over long periods. These Mastercraft cut-off wheels are intended for use with pencil and die grinders, but are also compatible with any other cutting machine that boasts a ⅜" (9.5 mm) bore.
