Bison Glass Basketball Backboard with Conversion The Bison glass basketball backboard allows an older fan-shaped steel or glass backboard to be replaced with a rectangular backboard. Its conversion system is designed to fit most existing wall-mounted or suspended support structures, generally without requiring relocation or modification. Its built-in support structure absorbs more than 98% of the forces exerted on the rim without transferring them to the glass. Since the rim is mounted directly to the support structure rather than the backboard, the glass is better protected against impacts, excessive hanging and intensive use. Made of 1/2" tempered glass, this backboard features a polished aluminum frame, a cushioning gasket and a high-strength steel support structure. The white border and shooter’s square are permanently applied to the glass for excellent visibility.
